Got me some disconects...
(noticed existing link bushings stuffed... so went for replace with disco's)

- and noticed that link was hitting passenger side spring
(I thought due to bushing gone) -

but after removing links the swaybar won't pull down all the way on passenger side as swaybar hits on spring anyway -
(not due to dud bushing)

On the side which hits the spring - I noticed looking vertical at the shock & spring @ the angle from the side - that the clearance between the spring & shock is about an inch graeter than the side with the clearance (meaning the spring is closer to the link by an inch & can't pivot down past about 45 degrees) & the new disco link is pissed off

I assume it's not meant to!!
But spring moved out of position????

any ides would be Yahoo

Grant have a look at the passenger side lower control mount has it got a lot of spacers in between the mount and the control arms(rear part) I would say they have push the front out (passenger side only) to get the car to track right on the road

dave... your'e diagnosis looks spot on -

passenger side is packed out about 15mm or more.

(see pics)

is there a prognosis for this illness...

better not be terminal in the disconect department.
or other for that matter.

thanks dave!

not terminal at all
Is there a factory spacer in the right hand side will be about 5mm take it out and take about 10mm out of passenger side
The wheel base on a xj was shorter on the passenger side by 10/11mm from factory as they are setup for usa road
Only need that 10mm added to passenger side all up and about 0 to 3mm toe in.
all just make it clear your new disco's
